Independence

watching people around me get more freedom than I do just kills me. I'm so upset right now you have no idea.
I got a bunch of invites for everything. Mall trips, Christmas in the Park, movies, downtown, school visits. All these things that I can't do. You wanna know why? Cuz my effing parents won't let me go anywhere without a chaperone. I can't even go ToTing without one either! My friends offer to ask their parents; but I know they don't want to and it'd be awkward for them and the rest of their friends. So I decline. I can't go anywhere unless if my parents know who's chaperoning. And not only do they have to know who is, they have to speak to them too. You know how lame that is?
You know what else is lame? I couldn't go to WB. My mom won't admit that she doesn't want me to go cuz it's a dance which means dates. But you see, I wasn't planning to go with someone. But she doesn't believe me. She doesn't want me to go to any dances.
So I can't go anywhere.
My parents are so lame. I hate it. I hate how old fashioned they are. I hate how they base my life off of their traditions. I hate how I have to compare my life to others when I can just live the life I want and they'd be okay with it. I want to be independent. I don't want to live like those girls who have "no lives" (no offense) My mom wants me to be like her when she was younger. And you know what that was? She was a loner. No boys, no mixers, no dances. Just study study study. The more she pressures me and not giving me my space, the more I hate school and wishing summer was here. She wasn't like this when I was at SV. She's probably wanting me to to turn out just like her and stay home and make a hobby of studying. Well guess what, she was a nerd. She wouldn't understand society today because she lived her childhood too long ago in the past. And I bet she's not even going to let me be modernized. I hate it. I really really hate it. Other parents are chill and modernized. Mine are just old fashioned and overprotected.

I'm just being a hateful little brat aren't I?
